Tuesday, the Estate Management Network will host an event that brings together some of the most experienced voices in domestic staffing for an open, candid discussion. The Agency Round Table, scheduled for August 19 from 2 to 3 PM EDT, will feature a virtual panel of agency owners who work daily at the center of household placement. A Q&A session will follow the discussion.

Panelists include Elise Lewis of Distinguished Domestic Services, Peter Van Ryder of Estate Management Solutions, Casey Walsh of Walsh Signature Staffing, Lisa DesBoine-Murray of The Herbert Alfred Agency, and Marc Sorensen Leandro of Sorensen Staffing. Together, they represent decades of combined experience in matching private service professionals with the households that rely on them.

This conversation will address questions and concerns raised by those working in the field. Topics include communication practices, the use of job titles, confidentiality expectations, and identifying agency green and red flags. The format is designed to be unscripted, giving attendees an authentic look at the dynamics influencing today’s staffing decisions.

The Agency Round Table is open to Estate Managers, Chiefs of Staff, Household HR professionals, and other private service staff. It is an opportunity to hear directly from agency leaders, gain insight into current placement trends, and better understand the factors shaping successful staffing outcomes. Registration is available now to all professionals in or supporting private service.

Please add your thoughts and questions for the conversation to this questionnaire: https://forms.gle/RP3iR6D4waqscMhz6

We will email the event link to registered participants.

Why You Need a Gift Room

As my dining room looks more like Santa’s workshops every day, I find myself envying the gift rooms at the homes of past employers. A gift room takes a little work to set up but it can save you during those moments when you need a birthday gift in 5 minutes, or when you're handed a 100 hostess gifts as guests arrive. Like everything in estate management, It's about having a system that works when life gets busy, which is most of the time. Set it up properly once, and you'll never go back to wrapping gifts at your desk again.
