We’re seeing more colleagues working as fractional Estate Managers these days, and more commercial property management companies serving UHNW households.
For households hiring them, the appeal is access to experienced management on terms that fit how they live and use their properties. A full-time position involves a salary, benefits, and an ongoing employment relationship, while a fractional or contract services allow a family to engage a manager just for the time and expertise it needs.
For Estate Managers, one of the benefits is greater control over the type of work they do, and a schedule that allows for flexibility. An independent professional can choose which clients to serve, determine the services they offer, and negotiate the time committed to each engagement. That creates room to build a practice around their experience, professional interests, and availability.
At the Estate Management Network, we’d like to understand how we can support colleagues working in this capacity. If you’re a fractional Estate Manager or operate an estate management service company, how can EMN help? What tools and templates would be useful in managing your client work and running your business? We want to hear from the professionals in this niche as we consider creating new resources to serve you.
