Welcoming The Suite Staff to the Network

Melissa Jensen embarked on her career in private service staffing in 2006 in Los Angeles. Eventually ascending to a partnership role at The Help Company,  she oversaw operations in the San Francisco and New York metro areas. A natural evolution of her expertise and experience was to found her own agency, The Suite Staff,  in 2021.

Catering to HNW / UHNW domestic staffing needs, The Suite Staff places a wide range of roles including Personal Assistants, Family Assistants, Estate and House Managers, Private Chefs, Nannies and Private Educators, Housekeepers, Security and Personal Drivers. The agency extends its services to corporate environments, facilitating placements for Receptionists, Office Managers, Executive Assistants, and Chiefs of Staff across various organizational echelons.

With an extensive tenure spanning over 18 years in the industry, The Suite Staff employs a meticulous approach to sourcing and vetting candidates, leveraging an expansive network and fostering referrals from both candidates and clients. Melissa shared: “Among our numerous successful referrals, we recently placed a highly qualified senior Level Executive Assistant referred by a high school friend. When we connect with a candidate about an exciting opportunity, we personally call their references, and we also offer to run social media and background checks before an official offer is extended.”

The Suite Staff takes a personalized, one-on-one approach to job searches. We are involved in the entire process from start to finish to ensure both the candidate and the client feel comfortable with the interview and hiring process. Melissa likes to work directly with Principals and/or their Chiefs of Staff and Estate Managers to identify any staffing pain points and work collaboratively to arrive at a successful solution.

“We consider ourselves a “Helicopter Agent” (in a good sense!) and strive to be involved in every step of the hiring process from prep calls before interviews, to checking in before and after a trial, and of course reviewing employment offers. While looking for a new job or hiring for a new (or existing) role can be overwhelming, we believe that this process can also be fun and hopefully we can share a few laughs along the way!” says Melissa.

Beyond placement, The Suite Staff maintains an ongoing dialogue with clients and employees, fostering enduring relationships and facilitating mutual success. Celebrating milestones such as work anniversaries and navigating discussions regarding bonuses or raises exemplify the agency’s dedication to client satisfaction and employee retention.

The Suite Staff operates across major metropolitan markets throughout the United States, including but not limited to the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, Miami, and New York City Metro/the Hamptons.
