Planning Ahead for 2026

As we look ahead to 2026, the Estate Management Network has started our strategic planning, and we invite you to be a part of that. This community was built for Estate Managers, and it should continue to reflect what you want and need from it.

When we first launched during the pandemic, it was planned as an online resource network. It gave us a way to connect and it provided a place to build a library of information. Over time, we have added vital resources, had meaningful conversations, and hosted our annual conferences. At this year’s event, it was clear how much people value being together in person. That has us thinking about what the next phase of the Estate Management Network should look like, including the idea of local groups where members can connect more often in their own communities, and who the leaders will be going forward.

We’ve put together a survey to gather your feedback on plans for the coming year. We want to hear about the kinds of resources you would like us to focus on; whether you want more guides, workshops, podcasts, or peer discussions. We’d like to know whether you would like to take part in a local group or chapter, and who might be interested in leading those efforts. Your feedback will help us decide where to put our energy as we plan for 2026.

This survey is short, and your answers will make a real difference. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts. Thank you for being part of the Network and for helping shape its future.

As we do our own strategic planning for the future of the Network, it may also be the right time for you to consider the needs of your properties in the year ahead. Strategic planning is a valuable exercise for Estate Managers to set priorities, allocate resources, and prepare for evolving needs. If you have not yet established a long-term plan for your estate operations, our Strategic Planning Guide for Estate Managers offers a framework to get started. It outlines practical steps for defining objectives, aligning with ownership goals, and creating an actionable roadmap to strengthen estate management practices.

Creating Vendor Guidelines

If you haven't informed or instructed your vendors on how the property needs to be cared for, they probably don't know what to do. It's worth taking time to note the general procedures and expectations for all vendors.
