Household Assistant / Nanny
For Immediate Placement – Spring 2025
Private Family Residence – Williams Creek, Indianapolis
A busy family of four in Williams Creek, Indianapolis, is seeking a responsible and highly organized Household Assistant / Nanny to support daily household operations, child supervision, and pet care. The ideal candidate is proactive, attentive to detail, and experienced in working with school-aged children in a private home setting.
Primary Responsibilities
Household Organization & Support
-Maintain household organization by putting items back in place daily and performing light cleaning (counters, dishes, trash, children’s rooms, etc.); cleaning staff is scheduled three times per week
-Keep schedules, calendars, and lists of household needs and shopping
-Run errands, including grocery shopping and household supply replenishment
-Oversee meal and snack preparation for the children, including packing coolers for events; assist and supervise children when they cook
-House-sit and pet-sit when the family is away
Childcare & Supervision
-Provide after-school supervision and structure for two children (ages 12 & 14)
-Transport children to and from extracurricular activities and sports (car provided for driving the children)
-Aid with homework, school projects, and educational activities as needed
-Maintain awareness of children at all times, placing a premium on safety and security
Pet Care
-Care for family pets, including two dogs and two tortoises
-Feed, clean pet areas, and provide necessary care for animals
-Comfortably work around horses when required
Requirements
Experience & Education
-Minimum of 5+ years as a nanny and/or household assistant in a private home or yacht
-College degree preferred
-CPR and lifesaving training (or willingness to obtain)
Skills
-Strong swimmer
-Safe driver with a clean driving record
-Current on age-appropriate social and educational needs
-High level of situational awareness and safety consciousness
-Comfortable around household pets and horses

-Highly organized and proactive
-Discreet and respectful of family privacy
-Reliable, responsible, and punctual
-Strong communication skills
-Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
Schedule
Wednesday – Sunday, 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility
Occasional overnight house-sitting required on weekends
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $60K based on experience
Car provided for transporting children
Mileage reimbursement for personal car use
