Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, long-term Personal Assistant to support a progressive household with various household management needs. The ideal candidate will be confident, detail-oriented, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. This role requires understanding and accommodation of the Principal’s health concerns, requiring someone who can anticipate needs and willingly go the extra mile. If you’re a Type A personality who thrives on creating order, managing multiple priorities, and supporting a busy household while building a lasting professional relationship, this position offers the perfect blend of responsibility and meaningful support.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate must be a non-smoker who genuinely loves dogs (two large dogs are in residence) and feels comfortable in a liberal household environment. Key responsibilities include laundry management (washing and proper storage), running errands (using either personal vehicle with gas reimbursement or Principal’s car), grocery shopping at multiple locations while managing food allergies and maintaining two separate pantries, creating and maintaining inventory systems for household supplies, and organizing additional storage spaces (extra refrigerator, freezer, and pantry). Additional duties include holiday preparation, gift wrapping, assisting with ongoing home remodeling projects (including room packing/organization), coordinating with vendors, household decluttering, and providing support during visits from the Principal’s college-age daughter. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, maintain detailed lists, anticipate household needs, and work independently while maintaining clear communication.
